How to replace a Pegasus Kiosk hard drive
PURPOSE
This document provides specifications for installation or replacement of a new Pegasus Kiosk SSD. This works for both Gen1 and Gen2 models.
PROCESS
Remove Old Hard Drive
- Open the Pegasus Kiosk and locate the black PC mounted inside.

TIP: Take a picture to document where all the cables are connected before you start.
- Remove all cables and the 4 screws that mount the PC.

NOTE: There are 2 screws on each side of the PC.

- Remove the PC mounting bracket.
- Remove the 6 screws from the PC housing and open the PC.
- Open the PC and remove the SATA cable along with the 4 screws that hold the SSD housing in place.
- Remove the SSD housing from the PC and remove the 4 screws that mount the SSD.
Install New Hard Drive
- Mount the new SSD to the SSD housing plate.
- Place the SSD housing back into the PC, tightening the 4 screws and reconnecting the SATA cable.
- Place the PC cover back on and tighten the 6 screws.
- Reinstall the PC mounting bracket.
- Mount the PC back to the kiosk and reconnect all the cables, using the reference picture taken at the beginning.
- Reach out to Mister IT to finish the kiosk setup.
