How to remove shared files in OneDrive

PURPOSE

The purpose of this document is to explain how to remove or delete shared files and shared folders from OneDrive.

PROCESS

Open File Explorer.
Open the OneDrive – Mister Car Wash Directory.
Right-click on the folder you want to remove.
Select “Remove shortcut”.
- NOTE: This only removes the folder from your OneDrive.
- The folder will still be accessible from your Shared list and doesn't affect the owner or anyone else sharing the folder.
- WARNING: If you delete the folder instead, it will be deleted from everyone's OneDrive and the folder’s owner would have to restore it.
