Troubleshooting printer DNS error

PURPOSE

The manager printer is not printing anything.


PROCESS

  1. Verify the network settings on the printer are set properly for your location.
  2. To add an IP Address to the printer, click “Settings” 
  3. Click the Networking tab.
  4. Click “Ethernet”.
  5. Click “TCP/IP”.
  6. Click “IPV4 SETTINGS
  7. Click “CONFIG METHOD”
  8. Select “MANUAL”. Then, click “OK”.
  9. Then, click “IP ADDRESS” to enter your IP address. 
  10. Enter your IP address. Then, click “OK”.
    • Dell Switches: the IP address is 10.12.x.30 (x is site specific).
    • Meraki Switches: the IP address is 10.30.10.30
  11. Enter 255.255.255.0 as the subnet mask. Then, click “OK”.
  12. Enter the default gateway. Then, click “OK”.
    • Dell Switches: the default gateway is 10.x.x.1 (x is site specific).
    • Meraki Switches: the default gateway is 10.10.10.1
