How to manually set the IP in Windows 10

You need to change the IP address in Windows 10.
PROCESS
- From the main screen, click the Start Menu icon.
- Start typing “Control Panel” and click the icon when it appears.
- Click “Network and Sharing Center”.
- NOTE: If your screen looks different than shown, change the “View by” selection to “Small icons”.
- Click the Wi-Fi or Ethernet name next to “Connections”.
- Click “Properties”.
- On the next popup, scroll down to find “Internet Protocol Version 4”.
- Click “Internet Protocol Version 4” and then click “Properties”.
- NOTE: Do not uncheck the box as this will disable the service.
- Select both “Use the following IP address” and “Use the following DNS server addresses”.
- Enter the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and preferred DNS server from the email that was sent and then click “OK”. Close all remaining windows.
