How to install replacement parts on a Magnetic gate

PURPOSE

If you receive a Loop Detector Card, Network Card, or Controller Module for a Mag Gate, follow the steps below to install them.

PROCESS

MAG GATE LOOP DETECTOR CARD AND NETWORK CARD

Using a key, unlock the cover plate and take it oﬀ. Then, unlock the front panel and slide it oﬀ.
Turn the switch oﬀ. Ensure the switch is pointing down.
Press and hold the two clips and take the gray cover oﬀ to expose the Gate Controller Module.
Identify the Network Card (left/bottom) and the Loop Detector Card (right/top).
For the following:
1. Loop Detector Card: Unplug any wires connected to the Loop Detector Card and pull out the Loop Detector Card.
2. Network Card: Unplug the network cable connected to the Network Card and pull out the Network Card.
For the following:
1. Loop Detector Card: Put in the new Loop Detector Card and plug the wires into it.
2. Network Card: Put in the new Network Card and plug the network cable into it.
Place the gray cover back on.
Turn it back on. Ensure the switch is pointing up.
After the gate has turned back on and there is a “Waiting for authorization” message on the screen, press the first button to authorize it.
Contact Mister IT to verify that the gate connections and IP address are correct.

CONTROLLER MODULE

Using a key, unlock the cover plate and take it oﬀ. Then, unlock the front panel and slide it oﬀ.
Turn the switch oﬀ. Ensure the switch is pointing down.
Unplug any wires that are connected to the Controller Module.
Unscrew the two screws keeping the Controller Module in place.
Place the new Controller Module in the gate and screw the two screws to keep it in place.
Plug in any wires that you disconnected from the old Controller Module.
Turn it back on. Ensure the switch is pointing up.
After the gate has turned back on and there is a “Waiting for authorization” message on the screen, press the first button to authorize it.
Contact Mister IT to verify that everything is working properly.
