PURPOSE

This document explains how to power cycle (reset) a Panasonic cordless phone and a Polycom VVX411.

PROCESS

Panasonic Cordless Phone

1. The bottom of the Panasonic KX-TGP600 base unit will have an ethernet cable plugged into it. 
2. In picture below, it is the one that is going to the Hub. 
   • NOTE: The hub is the switch, Dell or Meraki in the IT Cabinet.
   • 
3. Unplug it. The status light will turn off. 
4. Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in.
   • NOTE: There should be only one cable that is plugged into the base. The additional cable in the picture is an optional power adapter cable

Polycom VVX411

1. Unplug the Ethernet cable going to the phone. 
2. In the picture below, it is the cable that is going to the network port. 
   • 
3. Wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in.
   • NOTE: There should only be one cable going to the phone. The other cables in the picture are optional. 
   • But be aware that there are two Ethernet ports on the phone. Make sure to plug the cable back into the network port
