Troubleshoot Micrologic FAQ

PURPOSE

This guide provides solutions for the most common issues GMs report about Micrologic. In most cases, you can resolve these issues in just a few steps. 


PROCESS

UWC MEMBERSHIP HISTORY

Q: “I want to look up a customer’s UWC membership history.”

A: You might want this information because a CSA has signed up a “new” member but has not  received credit for the sale. The customer may have been an existing UWC member whose  credit card had either been declined during their monthly recharge and who was still within  the recharge grace period OR who had been an active member within the past 90 days.  Micrologic treated this customer’s credit swipe as a recharge on their membership.

EMPLOYEE ACCESS CARD

Q: “I don’t know how to add or edit an employee access card.”

A: In Micrologic, employee access cards are added or edited in Dayforce.

GIFT CARD

Q: “A gift card (or prepaid book) scanned as having a zero balance, but the customer swears they have never used it.”

A: Verify usage of the gift card or prepaid book in Wash Assist.

GATE

Q: “The gate arm is not opening for customers.”

A; The gate arm may not be opening because a cable is loose or unplugged at either the network server or the gate control board.

Q: “The gate is closing on cars.”

A: If you have had a power surge at your site, the gate board may have been reset to its default mode.

RFID READER

Q: “The RFID reader is not reading a member’s tag.”

A: You will first want to check if the RFID reader is scanning tags correctly.

BILL DISPENSER

Q: “The kiosk bill dispenser is not working.”

A: Check the bill dispenser to look for problems with the unit itself.

BILL ACCEPTOR

Q: “The kiosk bill acceptor is not accepting bills.”

A: The bill acceptor will not work if the bill acceptor cartridge is not properly connected to the kiosk.

RECIPT PRINTER

Q: “The receipt printer isn’t printing.”

A: Most of the time, this problem is the result of the printer not being turned on or plugged in.

POWER OUTAGE

Q: “We had a power outage. When the power came back on, the kiosk did not reboot properly.”

A: If power to the kiosk computer is cut off, the computer will not reboot until its power cord has been unplugged and plugged back in.

SEND STATION

Q: “Images of vehicles aren’t showing up on Visual Queue.”

A: In most cases, this problem can be diagnosed simply by looking at Visual Queue

A: You may be able to restore functionality by unplugging and reseating cables
