How to disable airplane mode on tablets

The purpose of this document is to troubleshoot when a tablet has airplane mode stuck on and you cannot turn airplane mode off.
PROCESS
- Press Windows Key + A to open the Action Center. Check if Airplane Mode is on. If it is on, click on it to turn it off. Then, check if the internet connects.
- NOTE: If you are unable to open the Action Center, navigate to the Windows search bar and type 'Airplane Mode'. If it shows grayed out, follow the steps below.
- In the search box, type 'Services' and open 'Services'.
- In the 'Services' window, press and hold on 'Radio Management Service' and click 'Properties'.
- Ensure the Startup type is set to 'Manual'.
- Then, restart the 'Radio Management Service'.
- Exit the Services windows and launch Command Prompt in admin mode.
- Type the following 3 commands in order:
- ipconfig /release
- ipconfig /renew
- ipconfig /flushdns
- Type the following 3 commands in order:
- After running the above commands, restart the tablet.
- Once the tablet is restarted and loaded into Windows, you should be able to turn off Airplane Mode.
