How to Pair Printer on a Tablet with the Mister Printer Utility

PURPOSE

Provide instructions on how to use the Mister Printer Utility to pair and configure a Bluetooth printer to the tablet.

PROCESS

Close the Logicwash Software to get to the tablet desktop.

Look for the Mister Printer Utility Icon and double click to open it.
If you get the following message, click on Yes to continue
The app will now open to the main screen, with the following items available:
- The instructions - Explains the process to connect and configure a printer.
- Refresh Devices - Refresh's paired device list.
- List of Paired Devices - Shows the paired (connected) printers on the tablet if any available.
- Add Printer - Used to add a new printer to the Tablet.
- Configure Printer - Configures the paired printers to work with Micrologic.
If this is the first time connecting a printer or if connecting a new printer click the "Add Printer" button
This will open the tablet Bluetooth settings page
Click on "Add Bluetooth or Other Device" or the plus symbol
On the next screen click, "Bluetooth"
This will search for nearby devices that are turned on and list them.
Browse the list of devices found and click the printer to connect
- NOTE: if the printer does not show on the list make sure printer is turned on and near the tablet.
It will request a code be entered, using the on-screen keyboard enter "0000"
1. If on-screen keyboard is not shown complete the following steps:
2. Open the taskbar at the bottom - swipe finger up from bottom of tablet
3. Click on the keyboard icon
4. Click on the &123 button in bottom left corner on keyboard
5. Click in the Pin Field
6. Enter code as stated above
Then click "Connect"
The printer will now connect and a confirmation page will show when ready.
Click on Done in bottom right corner
- NOTE: If on-screen keyboard is covering the "done" button close the keyboard as it will not be used again.
Click the "X" in the top right corner to close the Bluetooth settings page
To Verify the printer is ready, click on "Refresh Devices"
This will load the printers that are connected to the tablet
- NOTE: Can confirm the correct printer by the Serial Number shown matches the printer.
Click on "Configure Printer" at the bottom
A Loading screen will pop-up confirming the printer will now be configured.
A Progress screen will show and provide the progress as the printer settings are configured, these steps include:
1. Retrieving COM port settings from tablet
2. Configuring Incoming COM Port
3. Toggle Bluetooth off and on
4. Retrieving COM port settings from Database
5. Assigning the COM port to the printer
6. Final Bluetooth Refresh
7. All Done!
After the printer is configured the printer should print a test page
- EXAMPLE:
The Mister Printer Utility can now be closed.
Open LogicPOS to open Micrologic and use the tablet as normal
