Troubleshoot most common issues with a tablet.
PROCESS
Q: Tablet won't read credit cards
A: Steps to follow:
- Clean the card reader with an alcohol cleaning card.
- Try swiping a card at different speeds and directions.
Q: Tablet won’t scan RFID or barcodes

- Verify if the light turns on when scanner button pressed
- Scan factory reset barcode.
Q: Tablet won't connect to MCW-TABLET WIFI
A: Steps to follow:
- Verify network password.
- Reboot wireless access points (WAP)
- In the Settings, click “Forget the network,” and try to connect again.
Q: Tablet has no display or faded display
A: Steps to follow:
- Tap or hold the buttons on the top to see if the display turns on.
- Check the light on the face of the tablet to make sure it is on.
- Verify the battery light on the back is not on (using internal battery).
- Ping the tablet and try to log into it.
Q: Touch on tablet is not working
A: Steps to follow:
- Check to make sure that there are no tap animations happening by itself.
- Clean the screen.
- Remove screen protector.

- Reboot Tablet.
- Make sure the tablet is connected to the correct Network.
- Make sure the tablet is on a private network.
- Enable network discovery if the banner prompt comes up.
