How to upgrade DRB XPT Kiosk to XPT 2.0
PURPOSE
Retrofit instruction guide for removing necessary components from a DRB XPT and installing the replacement components.
PROCESS
Ordering Equipment
- Contact Mister IT to verify your XPT meets the system requirements for upgrading.
- After verified and the upgrade is available, Mister IT will order all equipment necessary.
Schedule Installation
- Verify equipment has arrived on site then,

Book a time with Mister IT a few hours after you plan to install the XPT Retrofit Door to ensure a Mister IT Technician can finish the configurations needed.

IMPORTANT: If you book for 2pm, please ensure that you begin installing the XPT Retrofit Door an hour and a half before 2pm so it is installed/powered on by the start time of the appointment.
Remove Old Internal Components
Prepare Carrier Board Plate
Hardware Identification and Installation
Identify screen model and Set Pins Accordingly
Follow the instructions HERE to identify the model of screen the XPT currently has.
Boards & Cables
- ALT-1920 LCD Driver Board – 41764002x-3
- Backlight Driver Board – SFDZDB3979F
- Backlight Cable – 426075200-3
- Power Cable – 426013800-3
- Set the pins on the ALT-1920 LCD Driver Board according to the type of screen display it is.
- Connect the single side of the backlight cable to the backlight driver board and its split ends into the ALT-1920 LCD Driver Board.
- Connect the power cable to the ALT-1920 LCD Driver Board.
Door Connections
- 1.5 Door (Reusing LCD screen, touch controller, barcode scanner. Touch screen)

Power connector for Barcode scanner(5v)
Backlight Board
Connection from backlight board to screen is on top right of the screen.
LCD Board
Power connection to the right between screen and barcode scanner
(Uses 12v 4a min)
Shows where LVDS connection connects on the LCD screen
Touch Controller Board
Mini USB cable that goes to PC
Ribbon cable that goes from touch controller to touch screen

Barcode Scanner
Micro USB connection on top and to the right black and red cable are power connection(uses 5v adapter)

Receipt Printer Power
You can tell the power cable of printer as it has 2 Red(+) cables and 2 Black(-) cables. The black and green adapter has “+” and “-“ labeled on it
