How to setup OneDrive
PURPOSE OneDrive lets you store your files in the cloud and access them from any device (computer, phone, web). It keeps your files up-to-date by automatically syncing changes you make on any device. You can even work on files offline and they'll sync up when you're online again. This guide will help you on how to login and configure OneDrive on your computer. PROCESS Start OneDrive and Login From the computer desktop Select the Start button, search for “OneDrive”, and then open it:. When OneDrive Setup starts, enter your Mister Email account, and select Sign in. NOTE: DO NOT click create account. On the This is your OneDrive Folder screen, select Next to accept the default folder location for your OneDrive files. On the All your files, ready and on-demand screen, you'll see how files are marked to show them as online-only, locally available, or always available. TIP: Files On-Demand helps you access all your files in OneDrive without having to download all of them and use storage space on your computer. Select Next. You now have a new blue cloud icon in the notification area in the bottom right corner The blue cloud icon will appear as OneDrive – Mister Car Wash when you hover over the icon. Accessing Your Files Your OneDrive files will appear in File Explorer in the OneDrive folder. It will be labeled as: OneDrive - Mister Car Wash Modify What Files/Folders to Backup Any time you want to change the folders you sync on your computer. Right-click the Blue cloud icon in the taskbar notification area Select Settings Go to the Account tab In the Choose Folders dialog box, uncheck any folders you don't want to sync to the cloud and select OK. How to sync files to One Drive
PURPOSE instructions on how to sync local files with OneDrive. PROCESS In bottom right corner find the blue cloud icon Right click on the cloud and select Settings This will open a dialog box Click on Sync and Backup Scroll down and open advanced settings Scroll down and click ono Free up disk space Select continue to remove locally stored files and push them back to the cloud This process will take several minutes depending on how many files have been used recently.

How to remove shared files in OneDrive
PURPOSE The purpose of this document is to explain how to remove or delete shared files and shared folders from OneDrive. PROCESS Open File Explorer. Open the OneDrive – Mister Car Wash Directory. Right-click on the folder you want to remove. Select “Remove shortcut”. NOTE: This only removes the folder from your OneDrive. The folder will still be accessible from your Shared list and doesn't affect the owner or anyone else sharing the folder. WARNING: If you delete the folder instead, it will be deleted from everyone's OneDrive and the folder’s owner would have to restore it. How to upload documents to Sharepoint
PURPOSE You need to know how to upload a document to SharePoint. PROCESS Go to SharePoint. Click “Upload”. Choose the file you want to upload. NOTE: If you are replacing an existing document, the name must match exactly otherwise any existing links will be broken. If you are replacing a file, the pop-up window below will appear. Click “Add file”. You will see the pop-up window below after it is successfully uploaded. This may take a few seconds. Click the icon with three dots next to the file you just uploaded. Choose “More” and then click “Properties”. Fill out the following fields: Title: Enter the actual title of the document. NOTE: This may differ from what appears in the Name field if the document title has changed from previous versions (e.g., “Exterior Site” is now named “Express Site”). Keywords: Enter any relevant keywords to make the document searchable. Category: Select a category if applicable. Last Modified Date: Select the date you are uploading the file. Document Version: Enter the document version. NOTE: The version number should match the version number within the document. Version numbers should never be included in the title (e.g., Express Site Cleaning Checklist v.4).

How to clear cache in Outlook
PURPOSE If an email is being returned to you, follow the steps below. PROCESS Open Outlook on your computer. Click New Email to initiate a new email draft. In the To field, input the desired distribution list address. Example: allstores@mistercarwash.com Once your distribution list appears as a suggestion (in this case, the “All Employees” group), hover your mouse over it. An X icon will appear next to the entry. Click on this X icon to remove the selected entry from the Outlook cache library. Exit and relaunch the Outlook application. Troubleshoot OneDrive sync issues
PURPOSE The Microsoft OneDrive icons in desktop notification areas, menu bars, Windows File Explorer and macOS Finder tell you the sync state of the file or folder. PROCESS Icon Description Meaning Next Steps Blue circle with an "i" If you see a blue circle with an informational letter "i" in it over a OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area, it means there are new messages about how best to use OneDrive, or to inform you about new or unused features. Select the OneDrive cloud icon to see any messages and actions to take. Red circle with white cross A red circle with a white cross means that a file or folder cannot be synced. You'll see this in File Explorer or on the OneDrive notification area icons. Click the blue or white OneDrive icon in the notification area to learn more about the problem. Gray OneDrive cloud icon with a line through it A grayed-out OneDrive icon with a line through it means you're not signed in, or OneDrive setup hasn't completed. Press Press the Windows key, search for OneDrive and then open the OneDrive desktop app. NOTE: If you see the error message "You're already syncing a personal OneDrive on this computer", follow the steps to unlink and relink your account. OneDrive paused icon The paused symbol over the OneDrive or OneDrive for work or school icon means your files are not currently syncing. To resume syncing, select the relevant OneDrive icon in the notification or menu bar area, select More and then Resume syncing. OneDrive icon with sync pending arrows The circular arrows over the OneDrive or OneDrive for work or school notification icons signify that sync is in progress. This includes when you are uploading files, or OneDrive is syncing new files from the cloud to your PC. OneDrive will also check for other file or folder changes and may show "Processing changes". If OneDrive shows “Processing changes" for a long time, it could be because you have an online file open, a very large file syncing, a lot of files stuck in a queue. To help resolve these problems, read OneDrive is stuck on “Processing changes". If you're seeing the sync pending icon in File Explorer, read OneDrive is stuck on "Sync pending". Red with white bar OneDrive icon If you see a red "no entry" style icon over your OneDrive icon, it means your account is blocked. Learn more about what to do when your OneDrive account is frozen. Yellow exclamation mark OneDrive icon If you see a yellow warning triangle over your OneDrive or OneDrive for work or school icon, it means your account needs attention. Select the icon to see the warning message displayed in the activity center. Files with this icon won't sync You may see this icon if you sign in to OneDrive with a work or school account. It means your admin has blocked the sync of certain file types. It's most common to block Outlook data files. Learn how to remove an Outlook .pst data file from OneDrive. People icon next to a file or folder If you see a "people" icon next to your OneDrive files or folders, this indicates the file or folder has been shared with other people. Learn more about how to change sharing at Share OneDrive files and folders. Blue cloud icon A blue cloud icon next to your OneDrive files or folders indicates that the file is only available online. Online-only files don’t take up space on your computer. You can’t open online-only files when your device isn’t connected to the Internet. Learn more about OneDrive Files On-Demand Green tick icons When you open an online-only file, it downloads to your device and becomes a locally available file. You can open a locally available file anytime, even without Internet access. If you need more space, you can change the file back to online only. Just right-click the file and select “Free up space.” Solid green circle with the white check mark Files that you mark as "Always keep on this device" have the green circle with the white check mark. These always available files download to your device and take up space, but they’re always there for you even when you’re offline. Gray X on desktop icons This is not a OneDrive icon, but a corrupted Windows shortcut icon. If you see a gray X over your Windows Desktop shortcuts, try these tips: Right-click on your Desktop and select Refresh. Uninstall any backup applications that are not longer used. Restart your computer after each uninstallation. Padlock icon OneDrive will show a padlock icon next to the sync status if the file or folder has settings which prevent it from syncing. Learn more about restrictions and limitations when you sync files and folders. Why do I have two OneDrive icons? If you have signed in to the OneDrive sync app with both work or school and a personal account, you will see two OneDrive sync icons. The blue one is for your work or school account, The white one is for your personal account. Chain icon on a folder A chain or link icon over a folder means it's a shortcut to another folder that has been shared. Brown box on Desktop icons A brown box over your Windows Desktop icons can be caused by an issue with Windows Explorer. To resolve the issue, restart Windows Explorer: Press Windows key + E. Press CTRL + ALT + DEL and select Task Manager. Select More details to show all the apps. On the Processes tab, under Apps, right-click on Windows Explorer. Select Restart. Shortcut Arrow If you see a shortcut arrow over files that are not shortcuts, the solution is to Restart Windows File Explorer. To resolve the issue, restart Windows Explorer: Press Windows key + E. Press CTRL + ALT + DEL and select Task Manager. Select More details to show all the apps. On the Processes tab, under Apps, right-click on Windows Explorer. Select Restart. Troubleshoot calendar errors in Outlook
PURPOSE This guide outlines steps to take to resolve an issue with Microsoft Outlook Calendar reminders and error messages. This guide will take you through creating a new Outlook profile and includes an optional step to install the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant (SaRA) tool. PROCESS Creating a New Outlook Profile In the Search Bar: Type "Run" in the Windows Search Bar and press enter. In the Run window that pops up, type "Outlook.exe /profiles" and press Enter. In the Profile Picker window, click Options. Optional: Check "Prompt for a profile to be used" to choose a profile each time you open Outlook. It’s a best practice to set the new profile as default. Click New. Enter a descriptive name for your new profile (ex. "CClapp"), then click OK Outlook will pop up with your Mister email address, select Connect. Option - Install SaRA Tool Download SaRA: If the instructions above do not resolve the issue, visit this Microsoft website to download and start running SaRA. Benefits of SaRA SaRA helps diagnose and fix Outlook issues automatically. It can be a valuable tool for troubleshooting email problems within existing or new Outlook profiles. SaRA can also be used for debugging/repairing other common O365 applications or even Windows issues. NOTE: Installing SaRA is optional and not required to use your new Outlook profile. Troubleshoot Office issues
PURPOSE You need to troubleshoot your computer because you are experiencing issues with Microsoft Office. PROCESS Right-click the Start button and select Apps and Features on the pop-up menu. Select Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise and click Modify. In the Microsoft pop-up window, select Quick Repair and click Repair. Select Repair. It will then repair. Once it is done repairing, you will see a “Done repairing!” message. Click Close and try using Microsoft Office again. If problem persists or additional help is needed please contact Mister IT.
