How to verify power to IT cabinet equipment
PURPOSE A store lost power and needs to turn all IT equipment back on. PROCESS Turn on all network equipment in the top of the IT Cabinet. All equipment should have similar lights as shown here: SonicWall Switch Modem NetGear (Backup Internet) Server Press the power button on the front to turn on the server. Point of Sale (POS) Turn on POS Terminal by pressing the red button on the bottom left corner behind the monitor and pressing the power button on the mini Dell PC. Kiosk Power cycle the Kiosk by unplugging and plugging in the power cord and turning on the power switch. Gate BFT Power cycle the gate by reseating the network cable. Gate Magnetic Turn the breaker off then back on Tunnel Computer Turn on the Tunnel Controller by pressing the power button. How to install/replace a UPS in the IT Cabinet
PURPOSE Instructional guide on how to install a battery backup power supply or UPS. PROCESS Contact Mister IT to shut down the store’s server, Manager PC, Controller, and if needed, the Send Station. Once they are all shut down, press, and hold the power button on the front to turn off the old UPS. You will hear a beep once it is shut down. Disconnect the cables that are connected to the back of the old UPS. Disconnect the power cable from the outlet. Unscrew the 4 screws holding the old UPS in the IT Cabinet. Remove the old UPS from the IT Cabinet. Locate the two mounting brackets and screw them onto the new UPS. Place the new UPS inside the IT Cabinet and screw the 4 screws into the IT Cabinet to hold the new UPS in place. Plug in all the cables into the new UPS. Plug in the power cord into the outlet. Press and hold the power button to turn the UPS on. You will hear a beep once it is on. Verify the IT Cabinet equipment is on by following the Guide: HERE Contact Mister IT to verify everything is showing online.

How to install/replace a PDU in the IT Cabinet
PURPOSE If you receive a Power Distribution Unit (PDU) for the IT Cabinet, follow the steps below to install it. PROCESS Open the covered switch. Turn off the PDU by switching the power off. The red light should not be on. Disconnect the PDU cable from the Backup Battery UPS. If there are any other cables, such as the modem, Meraki Firewall, switch, etc., plugged into the old PDU, unplug them. Unmount the old PDU from the IT Cabinet by unscrewing the 4 screws. Mount the new PDU to the IT Cabinet by screwing 4 screws. Plug the cable from the UPS into the PDU and other cables. Open the covered switch. Turn on the PDU by switching the power on. The red light should now be on. Verify the IT Cabinet equipment is on by following the Guide: HERE Contact Mister IT to verify that everything is functioning correctly.

How to install a Meraki switch in the IT Cabinet
PURPOSE If your Dell Switch needs to be replaced with a Meraki Switch, follow the steps below to mount the Meraki Switch. PROCESS Identify the Dell Switch in the IT Cabinet. Unplug the Dell Switch’s power cable from the power strip in the back of the IT Cabinet. Disconnect all the network cables from the Dell Switch. Dismount the Dell Switch from the IT Cabinet by unscrewing the four screws in the corners. Slide it out of the IT Cabinet. Slide the Meraki Switch into the IT Cabinet. Screw the four screws in the corners to mount the Meraki Switch in the IT Cabinet. Connect the network cables into the Meraki Switch. Please follow the Switch Diagram on the IT Cabinet so all the network cables are in their correct ports. Connect the power cable to the Meraki Switch. Be sure to use the one that waws shipped with the Meraki Switch. Ensure the lights on the Meraki Switch begin to blink to verify that the Meraki Switch is on. Contact Mister IT to verify that the connections are set up correctly. Place the old Dell Switch into the box and using the call tag in the shipment box, ship it back to HQ.

How to login to KVM switch
Purpose Follow the process below when a KVM is asking for a username and password, which usually appears after a power outage. VIDEO PROCESS If you receive the following screen asking for a username and password, Press ENTER twice on the keyboard. This will bring you to the normal screen to use the computer. How to disable login screen on the KVM
PURPOSE Instructions to turn off the login screen for a KVM. PROCESS Press "scroll" "Scroll" ort the Scroll Lock key on the keyboard You will see the following screen on your monitor. Press F4 to enter administrator mode. Using your arrow keys, scroll down to SET LOGIN MODE : ON. Press Enter. The Login mode will change from ON to OFF Press Esc 3 times on the keyboard to exit. How to change hotkey settings on the KVM
PURPOSE How to modify the key combination to open the KVM menu. PROCESS On the keyboard press the SCROLL Key twice in quick secession This will bring up the KVM Menu Press F3 on your keyboard, to bring up the Set Menu Using the arrow keys to Highlight OSD HOTKEY Press Enter on the keyboard, to bring up the Hotkey options available Using the arrow keys Highlight CTRL CTRL Press Enter on the keyboard This modified the key combination needed to open the KVM menu NOTE: Once changed to get back to the menu press CTRL twice in quick secession. Press ESC on the keyboard until back to the normal computer desktop
