How to pair Bixolon receipt printer to a tablet
PURPOSE Provide instructions for pairing a Bluetooth printer to a tablet. VIDEO PROCESS Enable the Bluetooth connection on the tablet by clicking the Up arrow on the taskbar. Press and hold the Bluetooth Devices icon. Select 'Add a Bluetooth Device'. On the right panel, click 'Printers & Scanners'. Then, click 'Add a printer or scanner'. Select the printer you want to pair and click 'Pair'. When prompted for the printer’s passcode, enter ‘0000’. Then, click ‘Next’. The printer will pair with the tablet automatically. After pairing, select 'Bluetooth' and click 'More Bluetooth options'. Once the Bluetooth Settings window opens, click the 'COM Ports' tab. NOTE: Take note of the Outgoing and Incoming port numbers. Press and hold the Windows menu icon and select 'Device Manager'. Select 'Ports' and ensure that the Outgoing COM Port is set to correctly: Mister Tablets should be set to COM10. Micrologic Tablets should be set to COM4. If the Outgoing COM Port does not match, complete the following steps: Still in Device Manager, double-click the Outgoing COM Port. Open the 'Port Settings' tab and click 'Advanced'. Change the COM Port Number to the standard: Mister Tablet set to COM10 Micrologic Tablet set to COM4 NOTE: If the COM Port is already being used by another port, use the same instructions as above and change the Incoming COM Port to a different one (any COM Port number works) and set the Outgoing COM Port properly. Once the COM Port is changed properly, click 'OK' to exit all screens and close out the Device Manager screen. Restart the tablet for the changes to take effect. Turn on the printer and test it by reprinting a receipt. How to load Mister Kiosk receipt printer paper
PURPOSE Guide on loading receipt paper in the Mister Kiosk receipt printer. VIDEO PROCESS Identify the receipt paper arms of the printer. they sit behind the print head. identify the circular pieces at the end of each of the two paper arms. on the back-side of the arms identify the two small tabs holding those outer plastic rings in place. push the tabs towards the outside of the paper arm and in simultaneously to remove the outer plastic rings load the thermal paper roll by slotting the paper stud into the central roll first, then slotting the second one in Ensuring that the paper roll feeds paper over the back of the roll, not under. on the receipt printers print head, remove the blue tape securing the print head closed. Press the release tab on the far right side of the print head. the print head will spring open towards the left. Lay the receipt paper flat in the opened print tray with about an inch of extra paper hanging out. Close the print head. it will click shut when pressed. How to install Epson TM88-IV receipt printer on POS
PURPOSE If you receive a replacement Epson receipt printer, follow the steps below to set it up. PROCESS Unbox the Epson printer. Inspect the printer and double-check for any damage. Locate the power cable (left) and USB cable (right). Plug the power cord into the power supply and plug the other end into an outlet. Plug one side of the USB cable into the Manager PC Plug the power cord (left) and the other side of the USB cable (right) into the back of the printer. Turn the printer on. Load receipt paper into the printer by pressing the gray button to open the latch. Place the roll inside and pull some of the receipt paper through before closing the lid. Ensure the Paper Jam and Feed lights are not turned on and that the top light is green. Troubleshoot Pegasus/DRB XPT Kiosk printer jam
PURPOSE Troubleshoot a jam in the Hecon Model receipt printer for the Kiosk PROCESS If the paper chute optical sensor becomes dirty or if its cable is damaged, the receipt printer assumes there is a paper jam in the chute and will halt printing until the sensor is repaired. Inspect the wires connected to the paper chute sensor and verify that no abrasions exist. If no damage to wires, disconnect the wires and continue. Tilt the printer mechanism to the left by performing the following: Slightly pull blue pins out towards you Tilt entire printer to the left Look into the paper chute and verify there is nothing physically blocking the paper chute sensor. Lightly coat a Q-Tip or similar with isopropyl alcohol. Insert the swab into the paper chute and clean the paper chute sensor thoroughly as shown below. Reassemble the printer, load receipt paper, and attempt to print a receipt. If the problem continues, contact Mister IT for further troubleshooting. Troubleshoot POS receipt printer
PURPOSE Troubleshoot the Point of Sale (POS) receipt printer. PROCESS Verify LED and Reset Cables Check LED lights on the top of printers for any amber or red LED lights. Make sure the printer is turned on with power switch on front of printer. Ensure all cables on the back of the printer are secure and connected as shown below: Reseat all cables on the receipt printer. Find the USB connection on the computer and reseat cable. Press the feed button to confirm it can feed paper. If the receipt printer cannot feed paper, ensure there is receipt paper in the receipt printer. If the receipt printer has receipt paper and it still does not print, ensure the receipt printer's name is set to Ticket Printer in Windows to match its entry in the database. If not, contact Mister IT for further troubleshooting or replacement. Not Cutting Receipts Check the LED light on top of the receipt printer for any amber or red LED lights. Open the top of the receipt printer and slide the bottom part of the printer down to expose the cutting unit. Ensure the triangle is in the window shown as this is the alignment of the cutting unit. If the triangle is not in the little window, turn the black knob until it is visible in the window. If receipts still do not cut, contact Mister IT for further troubleshooting or replacement.
