How to connect tablet to WIFI
PURPOSE This document reviews the steps to connect the tablet to Wi-fi. PROCESS If the POS is open, close the application. Swipe from the bottom of the screen to reveal a task bar. Select the network option. Available networks will be shown. Select the MCWTablet network. Enter the network password provided by Mister IT. The window will close upon successful connection to the network.

How to leave tablets powered on overnight
PURPOSE Software updates are applied to the tablets overnight. When tablets are powered off, updates don't take effect. By leaving our tablets on and charging overnight, we'll be able to keep their software up to date, which will help improve security and performance. PROCESS Inventory your tablet docks/chargers. If you do not have enough docks/chargers for every tablet at your store Place orders for enough extra power supplies from Hotshop for Mister Tablets or Amazon for Micrologic Tablets, as needed: Mister Tablet cradle in Hotshop: T1190 Battery Charger Mobile Demand. How to open kiosk mode on a tablet
PURPOSE This document will discuss how to activate Kiosk Mode on a tablet. PROCESS From the POS home screen on the tablet, select the Kiosk button at the top of the screen Kiosk Mode will open and will operate with the same functionality as the kiosk.

How to disable airplane mode on tablets
PURPOSE The purpose of this document is to troubleshoot when a tablet has airplane mode stuck on and you cannot turn airplane mode off. PROCESS Press Windows Key + A to open the Action Center. Check if Airplane Mode is on. If it is on, click on it to turn it off. Then, check if the internet connects. NOTE: If you are unable to open the Action Center, navigate to the Windows search bar and type 'Airplane Mode'. If it shows grayed out, follow the steps below. In the search box, type 'Services' and open 'Services'. In the 'Services' window, press and hold on 'Radio Management Service' and click 'Properties'. Ensure the Startup type is set to 'Manual'. Then, restart the 'Radio Management Service'. Exit the Services windows and launch Command Prompt in admin mode. Type the following 3 commands in order: ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew ipconfig /flushdns After running the above commands, restart the tablet. Once the tablet is restarted and loaded into Windows, you should be able to turn off Airplane Mode. How to auto-update tablet software
PURPOSE This document is a walk-through guide on how to run the Auto-Updater for the LogicPOS software on the tablets and POS terminals. NOTE: This procedure will need to be run on the POS terminal and each tablet individually. PROCESS Log into the POS or tablet On the top left, is the version # (ex. LogicPOS v19.03.03) Double tap on this text to receive a prompt for the Admin Code. Enter “5206154000” and that will engage the Auto-Updater. A prompt will show asking if to update. Select YES. A progress bar will display the current install progress. When completed, the software will restart and be ready to use on the new version. Verify everything is still functional. If no update is required, you will be prompted with "No update found." Mister Tablet hardware overview
PURPOSE This document will cover the contents of your Mister tablet kit and explain the function of each part of the tablet. VIDEO PROCESS What is in the Box? Battery charging dock Tablet charging dock. Tablet Unboxing the Tablet The Battery Charging station. The battery charging station has four slots for batteries The Mister tablet comes with four batteries 1 pre-installed in the tablet 3 spares Next, the tablet docking station. On the docking station you'll notice there are two guideposts These help attach the tablet safely to prevent damage On the back of the docking station, are the following connections: 1 microphone port 1 headphone port 2 USB ports 1 network port 1 display port 1 HDMI port 1 VGA port 2 serial ports 1 power connection NOTE: The power cord is included. NOTE: Only the power connection will be used. Next, the tablet itself. After opening the tablet box at the very top is a spare screen protector. NOTE: The tablet itself comes with a screen protector pre-installed. IMPORTANT: Please store the spare screen protector in a safe location. Now, the hand strap. The hand strap has brackets that it connects to on the back of the Tablet. We will cover those mounting points later in the document. There should also be a shoulder strap NOTE: This ships separately from the other boxes. We will cover the mounting points later in this video. That is everything included in the box. Comparison between Mister and MLA Tablets Micrologic (MLA) Tablet Overview On the top side of Micrologic is the barcode scanner, headphone jack, and credit card swiper. On this side we have the barcode scanner button. At the bottom we have the docking station connector. On the opposite side from the first barcode scanner button, we have the power port, USB port, power button and another barcode scanner button. On the backside we have the battery and the rear facing camera Mister Tablet Overview The Mister Tablet is slightly larger and more ruggedized than the Micrologic tablet. This allows the Mister Tablet to be better protect against damage. On the front is a front facing camera, this is disabled by default. On the right are the LED indicators. These show power status, battery life, and wireless status. On the left is the Credit Card Reader or a Credit Card Swiper (MSR). The tablet will either have an EMV reader or an MSR (swiper). The reader can be folded behind the tablet when not in use. On the top side are the power button and the barcode scanner. On the left side are the following items: Volume up and down buttons SIM/Micro SD card port HDMI port USB 3.0 port The MSR or EMV Reader will use this port USB type C port Audio & microphone ports Network port. NOTE: All these connections are covered to help protect them. On the bottom are the following: The docking station connector, including the guideposts for the charging station The D rings at the corners, this is where to connect the shoulder strap. On the right side, opposite of the EMV reader, is a power connector NOTE: If the docking station is not functioning, this plug can be used to charge the tablet directly On the backside are the hand strap mounting points at the four corners, battery connections, and barcode scanner buttons. Battery Changes On the back of the Mister Tablet, there are 3 tabs that hold the battery cover in place. Green indicates the tabs are in the locked position Red indicates the tabs are in the unlocked position. Start by sliding the side tabs to the unlocked-red position. Next slide the middle tab to the unlocked-red position After all three tabs are unlocked, lift up the tab side of the battery clover plate. NOTE: it will not lift very far. Once it is lifted, pull straight back and away from the tablet. Slide the battery towards the locking tabs. The battery will then lift out. Insert a new battery. Slide the battery away from the locking tabs. Be sure it is seated fully. Next slide the battery cover plate back into place. Slide the middle tab to the locked-green position. Finally slide the side tabs to the locked-green position. To power on the Mister tablet, push and hold the power button for two seconds. NOTICE: The LED indicator light on the front turns green and the EMV reader display shows it’s boot up process has started. To use the new Mister Tablet, it must be configured in the database. This is a one-time process that does require assistance from the Mister IT Service Desk. Once you have your new Mister Tablet powered on, please contact the Mister IT Service Desk for assistance. How to install hand/shoulder strap on Mister Tablet
PURPOSE Provide information on how to connect the hand & shoulder straps on Mister Tablets. VIDEO PROCESS Hand Strap Installation Connect the 1st ring to the top left of the tablet. Connect the 2nd ring to the bottom right of the tablet. Connect the 3rd ring to the bottom left of the tablet. Connect the 4th ring to the top right of the tablet This is how all four rings should appear once connected to the tablet. Shoulder Strap Installation Displayed below is an image of the Tablet Shoulder Strap along with its connecting rings. Grab the circle on the lower part of the ring assembly and slide down to open it. Connect the 1st connecting ring on the shoulder strap to the tablet's left D-Ring. Connect the 2nd connecting ring on the shoulder strap to the tablet's right D-Ring. How to verify Mister Tablet is charging properly
PURPOSE Verify Mister Tablets are charging properly in their docks overnight. PROCESS IMPORTANT: This should be completed at the end of each night before leaving the store. Exit out of the MLA software Place the Mister Tablet on the dock. The desktop should appear as the picture below. Verify the Mister Tablet is charging. On the bottom left corner of the display, the battery icon with a power plug should be displayed NOTE: If you do not see any of the icons in the picture, please touch the bottom left corner of the display to unhide the taskbar. After confirming the Mister Tablet is on the dock and charging, please do not remove it from the dock until the next morning. How to verify Mister Tablet camera driver version
PURPOSE Follow the steps below to check the camera and driver update on tablets. PROCESS Click the Windows Start button and search “File Explorer”. Select “This PC” and click “Windows C:”. Click the “IT” folder. Open “MisterITUpdateLog”. Look for the “Camera and Driver Update” line. NOTE: If the file does not exist, it is because the update is missing. Please contact Mister IT for the update and provide the site tablet number. WARNING: Tablet needs to be on and in the docking station for update.
